The DRAK Theatre will continue to be led by Tomáš Jarkovský
He defended his position in the selection process. He presented the concept of the theatre's further development for the period 2026–2031. He will work with the support of the theatre's current team, including his two closest collaborators - artistic director Jakub Vašíček and head of marketing and production Barbora Kalinová.

Tomáš Jarkovský (born 1986) is a dramaturg and screenwriter. He studied directing and dramaturgy at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre (KALD) at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under the guidance of Ivan Rajmont and Jan Borna. He has been the director of the Drak Theatre in Hradec Králové since 1 January 2020.
Since his studies, he has been collaborating with director Jakub Vašíček, with whom he has guested in a number of Czech theatres, including the Alfa Theatre in Pilsen and the Minor in Prague, until they finally settled in Drak in Hradec Králové.
Jarkovský and Vašíček are known for their modern adaptations of classical works, often aimed at young audiences. They continue this work at the Drak Theatre.
