Light for culture

Zdeněk Pánek participated in the all-day event Light for Culture at VILE Štvanice. The aim of the conference is to support the creation of a community that will be able to respond to current challenges in the cultural sector, while also offering a space for sharing experiences, mutual inspiration and finding concrete steps towards greater resilience and self-confidence of the cultural environment.

Tomáš Jarkovský (born 1986) is a dramaturg and screenwriter. He studied directing and dramaturgy at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre (KALD) at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under the guidance of Ivan Rajmont and Jan Borna. He has been the director of the Drak Theatre in Hradec Králové since 1 January 2020.
Since his studies, he has been collaborating with director Jakub Vašíček, with whom he has guested in a number of Czech theatres, including the Alfa Theatre in Pilsen and the Minor in Prague, until they finally settled in Drak in Hradec Králové.
Jarkovský and Vašíček are known for their modern adaptations of classical works, often aimed at young audiences. They continue this work at the Drak Theatre.
