We support the position of the employees of the Czech Radio and Television

The Association of Professional Theatres of the Czech Republic clearly agreed at today's committee meeting that it rejects the draft law on public service media submitted by Minister Ota Klempíř as a whole. This position will also be recommended by the Union of Employers' Unions within the framework of the interdepartmental comment procedure. We support the position of the employees of Czech Radio and Czech Television. We also disagree with any ill-considered proposal to change the financing of their institutions. Demolishing a functioning system without a clear change for the better is an unnecessary incitement of culture wars. We need true and free radio and television, as well as true and free theatre.
