The Prague City Council's Culture Committee has called on the council to allow directors of city theaters to increase salaries for actors and other employees by raising salary caps.

Egon Kulhánek remains as director of the Karlín Music Theatre in Prague. He won the selection process, the results of which were approved by Prague councilors. Kulhánek has been leading the Karlín theatre since 2003. The commission praised his concept, which it said guarantees the stable operation of the city's subsidized organisation.
